Run by a family fascinated by beekeeping for over 20 years, New Quay Honey Farm is a company that really loves what it does. They collect honey from hundreds of bee hives across Ceredigion. The flowers in the area give it a distinctly deep and slightly floral flavour, which stays when the honey is transformed into mead and honey for consumption. Try it for yourself at their visitor centre.
NomNom Chocolate, Carmarthenshire by NomnomSomewhat hidden, NomNom's HQ is on the site of the former Pemberton’s chocolate factory. If you're near Aberaeron on a sunny spring or summer day, pay a visit to The Hive's kiosk. While it's a restaurant first and foremost, the best thing on the menu is their honey ice cream, which, as you can guess, is made on-site using naturally sweet honey to give it a rich flavour. Honey vanilla and honey hazelnut are both firm favourites. Outside of peak sunny seasons, the ice cream is also sold in the bar.
